We've filmed multiple weddings at LedgeCrest. Here's what we've learned about the ceremony sites, the light, and how the day flows.

Outdoor wedding ceremony on the concrete patio at LedgeCrest Reserve, De Pere Wisconsin

THE SHORT VERSION

LedgeCrest Reserve in De Pere has two ceremony sites — an outdoor concrete patio and an indoor option — and the light works well in both throughout the afternoon. If you have your ceremony indoors, cocktail hour moves out to the patio while the team flips the room for dinner. We've filmed multiple weddings here and know how the day flows.

CEREMONY OPTIONS

Two ceremony sites, both worth considering

LedgeCrest gives you a genuine choice, not an outdoor plan and a weather fallback.

OUTDOOR

The Concrete Patio

Opens directly off the ballroom, with open sky and room for guests. Doubles as the cocktail hour space when the ceremony is held indoors.

INDOOR

The Ballroom

A real ceremony setup in its own right, not a compromise. Five chandeliers, an oversized fireplace, and a flexible floor plan.

The useful part for your film: the light is good in both, and it holds through the afternoon. That's less common than you'd think — plenty of venues have one great hour and difficult light on either side of it.

WORTH KNOWING

The room flip

If you choose the indoor ceremony, guests move out to the concrete patio for cocktail hour while the LedgeCrest team resets the ballroom for dinner seating.

It's a small logistical detail most couples don't think about when touring, but it shapes your timeline. It means the indoor ceremony doesn't cost you the outdoor element of your day — you get both, just in sequence.

ON CAMERA

Sound in the ballroom

Large rooms with hard surfaces and high ceilings often mean audio problems — echo on speeches, a band that overwhelms the space. That hasn't been our experience here.

Sound in the ballroom has been consistently good, and we've worked alongside strong DJs at LedgeCrest who have it handled. For your film, vows and speeches come through clean without us working around the room.

THE TEAM

Run by a wedding planner

One thing that isn't obvious from a venue tour: LedgeCrest is owned by Allison Kline-Weichelt, who also runs Alliey + Co, one of the area's established wedding planning companies.

That's unusual. Most venues are run by hospitality operators. In practice it means the venue thinks about your day the way a planner does rather than the way a facility manager does.
