Hi, I'm John.
Wisconsin wedding videographer, rooted in Door County.
For more than nine years, I've filmed weddings across Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Illinois, with over 100 celebrations from Door County bluffs and harbor-town chapels to family farms and city ballrooms. My approach is quiet and observant: close to what matters, out of the way of everything else.
I believe the best wedding films aren't staged, they're noticed. A father's hand on a shoulder. The pause before the vows. Grandparents dancing like no one's watching. I look for the connections that carry across generations and shape them into a film that feels like your day felt.
Most weddings, it's just me: one filmmaker, fully focused on you. For larger celebrations, I bring a trusted second shooter so nothing is missed. Either way, couples often tell me they forgot I was there, and that's the point. When you're at ease, you stay present, and that's when the real story shows up on screen.

Door County holds a special place in my heart. Since I was a kid, my family has made the trip up north to explore the coastlines and wander the local shops. Now I get to film weddings where so many of my favorite memories were made. Wherever you're celebrating, my goal is the same: a timeless film made with care, rooted in Wisconsin and ready to travel.
When I'm not filming, you'll find me at home in Hortonville with my wife and our three kids.
